On September 3, 2021, we held the first lab meeting in the new semester. All the faculty members have joined both online and offline. During the first session of the meeting, Prof.Bakh Khoussainov and Prof. Mingyu Xiao gave a welcome speech and then the new faculty members in the group were introduced. Prof. Chao Xu joined our lab as the assistant professor and Dr. Toru Takisaka as well as Dr. Mengxiao Zhang joined as the postdoc. Then each faculty gave a short self-introduction. The next session was answering questions from students and introducing the lab rules. At the end of the meeting, Prof.Bakh Khoussainov and Prof. Mingyu Xiao delivered their best wishes to all the students and encouraged them to pursuit continuously for academic excellence, develop intellectually curious and creative way of thinking and new ideas, be independent in research, promote the implications of their own research in a broader context, lift the spirits up and keep working hard. We wish each student a great success in their academic career.
