If you can’t speak Chinese, you can download the pdf file and print it. When you arrive in Chengdu, give it to your taxi driver, and then he will take you to the Registration Place — Tibet Hotel. Taxi fare, CNY70-100 is reasonable price from airport to Tibet Hotel.
Airport Information
The only airport to arrive in Chengdu is Shuangliu International Airport (IATA code: CTU, ICAO code: ZUUU). Shuangliu International Airport has two terminal buildings, Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2), and most of the international flights arrive at T1. The airport is about 17.4 kilometers (about 10 miles) from the city center and it offers 56 international (regional) flight routes by the end of 2012. International flights include service to cities abroad such as Tokyo, Shanghai(Beijing)-Fukuoka, Osaka, Seoul, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Katmandu, Los Angeles, Vancouver, London, Sydney, Melbourne (Australia), Frankfort, Delhi and (Beijing)-Paris, as well as regional flights to Hong Kong and Macau. In particular, airlines schedule several flights daily to and from almost all of capital cities and major cities in China.

From Airport to Venue
The most convenient way to travel between Shuangliu International airport and Tibet Hotel (where the conference venue is located) is by Chengdu Airport Shuttle Bus No.2. Waiting Spot of Shuttle Bus No.2 is Gate No.2 of T1 or 90 meters away from Gate No.4 of T2 at 1st floor of T2 and the bus fare is CNY17. A shuttle bus is available at 15-minute intervals from 6:30 am to 20:00 pm in both directions.
Take Airport Shuttle Bus No.2 from Airport and get off at Renmin Road North 1st Section Station (the 3rd station after leaving airport). Going backwards about 20 meters, Tibet Hotel is located the corner of the crossroads on the other side of the road.

There are two railway stations in Chengdu, North Railway Station (also known as, Chengdu Railway Station) and East Railway Station.
From North Railway Station to Venue
Exit North Railway Station and cross the road. Just walk straight, staying on the road. Walking takes about 20 min at easy pace. If you want to take the metro, a metro station is about 30 meters away from the exit of North Railway Station and you can see it at your left side when you exit the railway station. Take Metro line 1 from North Railway Station in the direction Guangdu. Get off at Renmin Road North (the next station of North Railway Station) from the Exit B. Turn around and walk along the road for about 250 meters. Just cross the intersection and the Tibet Hotel is on your right.
From East Railway Station to Venue
From the exit of East Railway station, follow the signs to metro station.
Buy a single journey ticket to Renmin Road North with costs CNY4.
Take metro line 2 in the direction Xipu.
Get off at Tianfu Squre for transfer.
Take metro line 1 in the direction Shengxian Lake.
Get off at Renmin Road North from the Exit B.
Turn around and walk along the road for about 250 meters.
Just cross the intersection and the Tibet Hotel is on your right.
On the way back to East Chengdu Railway Station, take metro line 1 from Renmin Road North to Tianfu Squre,
and then take metro line 2 in the direction Longquanyi,
and get off at East Chengdu Railway Station.
Tianfu Tong
During your stay in Chengdu, you will need a transportation card called Tianfu Tong, which allows you to travel on buses and metros. If you has no Tianfu Tong, you can also buy single-journey card on metros and use cash (CNY2 per time and no change) on buses. Tianfu Tong are sold CNY20 at selected metro stations, and they can be topped up very easily (using cash only!) at all machines of all metro stations. Taxi are cheap and easily available in Chengdu, however the traffic is very unpredictable and often blocked, except late at night or very early in the morning.
